VerbFilter is an action filter that filters by HTTP request methods.
It allows to define allowed HTTP request methods for each action and will throw an HTTP 405 error when the method is not allowed.
To use VerbFilter, declare it in the behaviors()
method of your controller class. For example, the following declarations will define a typical set of allowed request methods for REST CRUD actions.
public function behaviors()
{
return [
'verbs' => [
'class' => \yii\filters\VerbFilter::class,
'actions' => [
'index' => ['GET'],
'view' => ['GET'],
'create' => ['GET', 'POST'],
'update' => ['GET', 'PUT', 'POST'],
'delete' => ['POST', 'DELETE'],
],
],
];
}
See also https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc2616#section-14.7.
Property DetailsThis property defines the allowed request methods for each action. For each action that should only support limited set of request methods you add an entry with the action id as array key and an array of allowed methods (e.g. GET, HEAD, PUT) as the value. If an action is not listed all request methods are considered allowed.
You can use '*'
to stand for all actions. When an action is explicitly specified, it takes precedence over the specification given by '*'
.
See also https://www.yiiframework.com/doc/guide/2.0/en/structure-controllers#action-ids For example, `
php [ 'create' => ['GET', 'POST'], 'update' => ['GET', 'PUT', 'POST'], 'delete' => ['POST', 'DELETE'], 'author-comment' => ['POST', 'DELETE'], '*' => ['GET'], ] `
.
Defined in: yii\base\BaseObject::__call()
Calls the named method which is not a class method.
Do not call this method directly as it is a PHP magic method that will be implicitly called when an unknown method is being invoked.
public function __call($name, $params)
{
throw new UnknownMethodException('Calling unknown method: ' . get_class($this) . "::$name()");
}
Defined in: yii\base\BaseObject::__construct()
Constructor.
The default implementation does two things:
$config
.If this method is overridden in a child class, it is recommended that
$config
here.Name-value pairs that will be used to initialize the object properties
public function __construct($config = [])
{
if (!empty($config)) {
Yii::configure($this, $config);
}
$this->init();
}
Defined in: yii\base\BaseObject::__get()
Returns the value of an object property.
Do not call this method directly as it is a PHP magic method that will be implicitly called when executing $value = $object->property;
.
See also __set().
public function __get($name)
{
$getter = 'get' . $name;
if (method_exists($this, $getter)) {
return $this->$getter();
} elseif (method_exists($this, 'set' . $name)) {
throw new InvalidCallException('Getting write-only property: ' . get_class($this) . '::' . $name);
}
throw new UnknownPropertyException('Getting unknown property: ' . get_class($this) . '::' . $name);
}
public boolean __isset ( $name ) $name string
The property name or the event name
return booleanWhether the named property is set (not null).
public function __isset($name)
{
$getter = 'get' . $name;
if (method_exists($this, $getter)) {
return $this->$getter() !== null;
}
return false;
}
Defined in: yii\base\BaseObject::__set()
Sets value of an object property.
Do not call this method directly as it is a PHP magic method that will be implicitly called when executing $object->property = $value;
.
See also __get().
public function __set($name, $value)
{
$setter = 'set' . $name;
if (method_exists($this, $setter)) {
$this->$setter($value);
} elseif (method_exists($this, 'get' . $name)) {
throw new InvalidCallException('Setting read-only property: ' . get_class($this) . '::' . $name);
} else {
throw new UnknownPropertyException('Setting unknown property: ' . get_class($this) . '::' . $name);
}
}
Defined in: yii\base\BaseObject::__unset()
Sets an object property to null.
Do not call this method directly as it is a PHP magic method that will be implicitly called when executing unset($object->property)
.
Note that if the property is not defined, this method will do nothing. If the property is read-only, it will throw an exception.
See also https://www.php.net/manual/en/function.unset.php.
public function __unset($name)
{
$setter = 'set' . $name;
if (method_exists($this, $setter)) {
$this->$setter(null);
} elseif (method_exists($this, 'get' . $name)) {
throw new InvalidCallException('Unsetting read-only property: ' . get_class($this) . '::' . $name);
}
}
Defined in: yii\base\Behavior::attach()
Attaches the behavior object to the component.
The default implementation will set the $owner property and attach event handlers as declared in events(). Make sure you call the parent implementation if you override this method.
public function attach($owner)
{
$this->owner = $owner;
foreach ($this->events() as $event => $handler) {
$this->_attachedEvents[$event] = $handler;
$owner->on($event, is_string($handler) ? [$this, $handler] : $handler);
}
}
public function beforeAction($event)
{
$action = $event->action->id;
if (isset($this->actions[$action])) {
$verbs = $this->actions[$action];
} elseif (isset($this->actions['*'])) {
$verbs = $this->actions['*'];
} else {
return $event->isValid;
}
$verb = Yii::$app->getRequest()->getMethod();
$allowed = array_map('strtoupper', $verbs);
if (!in_array($verb, $allowed)) {
$event->isValid = false;
Yii::$app->getResponse()->getHeaders()->set('Allow', implode(', ', $allowed));
throw new MethodNotAllowedHttpException('Method Not Allowed. This URL can only handle the following request methods: ' . implode(', ', $allowed) . '.');
}
return $event->isValid;
}
Defined in: yii\base\BaseObject::canGetProperty()
Returns a value indicating whether a property can be read.
A property is readable if:
$checkVars
is true);See also canSetProperty().
public function canGetProperty($name, $checkVars = true)
{
return method_exists($this, 'get' . $name) || $checkVars && property_exists($this, $name);
}
Defined in: yii\base\BaseObject::canSetProperty()
Returns a value indicating whether a property can be set.
A property is writable if:
$checkVars
is true);See also canGetProperty().
public boolean canSetProperty ( $name, $checkVars = true ) $name stringThe property name
$checkVars booleanWhether to treat member variables as properties
return booleanWhether the property can be written
public function canSetProperty($name, $checkVars = true)
{
return method_exists($this, 'set' . $name) || $checkVars && property_exists($this, $name);
}
Deprecated since 2.0.14. On PHP >=5.5, use ::class
instead.
public static function className()
{
return get_called_class();
}
Defined in: yii\base\Behavior::detach()
Detaches the behavior object from the component.
The default implementation will unset the $owner property and detach event handlers declared in events(). Make sure you call the parent implementation if you override this method.
public function detach()
{
if ($this->owner) {
foreach ($this->_attachedEvents as $event => $handler) {
$this->owner->off($event, is_string($handler) ? [$this, $handler] : $handler);
}
$this->_attachedEvents = [];
$this->owner = null;
}
}
Declares event handlers for the $owner's events.
public array events ( ) return arrayEvents (array keys) and the corresponding event handler methods (array values).
public function events()
{
return [Controller::EVENT_BEFORE_ACTION => 'beforeAction'];
}
Defined in: yii\base\BaseObject::hasMethod()
Returns a value indicating whether a method is defined.
The default implementation is a call to php function method_exists()
. You may override this method when you implemented the php magic method __call()
.
public function hasMethod($name)
{
return method_exists($this, $name);
}
Defined in: yii\base\BaseObject::hasProperty()
Returns a value indicating whether a property is defined.
A property is defined if:
$checkVars
is true);See also:
public boolean hasProperty ( $name, $checkVars = true ) $name stringThe property name
$checkVars booleanWhether to treat member variables as properties
return booleanWhether the property is defined
public function hasProperty($name, $checkVars = true)
{
return $this->canGetProperty($name, $checkVars) || $this->canSetProperty($name, false);
}
Defined in: yii\base\BaseObject::init()
Initializes the object.
This method is invoked at the end of the constructor after the object is initialized with the given configuration.
public function init()
{
}
