Updates and ErrataThe following is a list of errata noted for The Unicode® Standard, Version 17.0, its code charts, annexes, the Unicode Character Database, and the text and data files for other synchronized specifications. It is periodically updated to include corrections to typographic errors and new clarifications of the text. This list also includes errata noted for the text of The Unicode Standard, Version 17.0—Core Specification.
Current Errata Notices Date Summary 2025-09-11 The Unicode Version 17.0 of the core spec as originally released on September 9, 2025 contained the following errors:These corrections have been made to an amended release of the core spec on September 11, 2025. Reporting Errors
- In Preface, “16.0 code charts” should be “17.0 code charts”
- In Section 1.1, “Version 16.0,” should be “Version 17.0”
- In Section 3.1.4, two instances of “Version 16.0.0,” should be “Version 17.0.0”, and “Version 16.0” should be “Version 17.0”
- In Section 3.1.6, one instance of “Version 16.0.0,” should be “Version 17.0.0”
- In Section 3.2, two instances of “Version 16.0” should be “Version 17.0”
- In Section 3.2.11, three instances of “Version 16.0” should be “Version 17.0”
- In Appendix D, no entry is given in Table D-1 for Unicode 17.0
Reports of errors in published documents, such as the Unicode Standard itself or Unicode Technical Reports, may be filed using the Unicode Consortium's contact form. If confirmed, and depending on the nature of the reported error, a notice may be posted on this page, to be fixed in subsequent editions of the Unicode Standard or related specifications.
