Using the TIOBE Quality Indicator

TIOBE offers a software code quality assessment service based on the official ISO/IEC 25010 standard on software product quality. The assessment uses the TIOBE Quality Indicator (TQI) to assess the quality of the software. The main focus of the assessment is measuring the reliability, testability and maintainability of your software system. The assessment provides a powerful set of deliverables.

The TQI score is defined in such a way that it can be compared across projects, organizations, domains and different programming languages.

For some specific programming languages, specific metrics can be impossible to measure. In such case the TQI scores will not give a complete code quality indication.

See also the TiCS factsheet for coverage of languages.
