The Bucs reached three-year agreements with late-round draft picks Al Harris, Nigea Carter and Anthony DeGrate on Tuesday.
Team officials would not release financial terms. Jack Bechta, Harris' agent, said he could not comment on the terms but added "I had to fight tooth and nail for every dollar."
Agents for Carter and DeGrate could not be reached late Tuesday.
Harris, a 6-foot, 185-pound cornerback out of Texas A&M Kingsville, and Carter, a receiver from Michigan State, were drafted in the sixth round. In two years, Harris had 88 tackles, 9 interceptions and 14 passes defensed. Carter, a rangy 6-1, 196-pounder, had 77 receptions for 1,363 yards and 10 touchdowns for his career.
DeGrate was the team's final pick in the seventh round out of Stephen F. Austin. The 6-1, 333-pound defensive tackle had 28 tackles and a sack as a senior.
CARDINALS: Arizona signed veteran offensive lineman Rob Selby to a one-year deal. Terms were not released.
COWBOYS: Charles Haley, the only player to win five Super Bowl rings, is retiring because of back injuries. Haley, described by coach Barry Switzer as "the greatest defensive rushing end in pro football," has had three back operations in four years.
DOLPHINS: Cornerback Terrell Buckley, who led Miami with six interceptions last season, signed a two-year contract extension. The 5-foot-9, 180-pounder started all 16 games at left cornerback. His six interceptions tied for third in the AFC and were fourth in the league.
IRVIN CASE: A panel turned down a request to re-examine the denial of parole for Johnnie Hernandez, in prison for hiring a hit man to kill Cowboys receiver Michael Irvin. Victor Rodriguez, chairman of the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles, said a three-member panel considered Hernandez's request to review the denial of parole and decided to uphold the original decision.
