SparkFun RTK Torch - SparkFun Electronics

SKU: GPS-25662

The Torch is a quad-band receiver housed in a waterproof aluminum enclosure with tilt compensation, onboard LoRa radio and Galileo-HAS support.

Product Overview

The Torch was designed as a heavy duty RTK device with all the bells and whistles included; it was made to handle diverse environments and rough handling, and to provide a simple and straightforward way to set up a Base/Rover system.

Having access to Galileo HAS allows the Torch to get <50cm accuracy anywhere in the world without needing a corrections source. The tilt compensation feature allows surveying points that would otherwise be inaccessible, like up against walls or on uneven terrain. The built in LoRa radio allows two Torches to be easily connected over a distance of about 10 miles.

The Torch can be used with PPP corrections, as a Rover, for baseless surveying, and can also serve as a temporary base. While the Torch is fully water proof, we do not recommend it for permanent outdoor mounting. See our How to Build a DIY GNSS Reference Station tutorial for more information.

Purchase of The Torch comes with 1 month of corrections via PointPerfect IP, which can be set up and configured here. PointPerfect's coverage coverage is dependent on location; the most up-to-date information can be found on u-blox's interactive coverage map.
