PRINCETON, N. J., Dec. 16— Donald Oberdorfer Jr., 19-year- old junior from Atlanta, Ga., has been elected to the chair- manship of The Daily Prince- tonian, campus newspaper. He will assume direction of the country's second oldest college daily when it begins its seventy- fifth year of publication on Feb. 1. In succeeding Lewis S. Mudge, Rhodes scholar-elect from Bryn Mawr, Pa., Mr. Oberdorfer will also become a member of the undergraduate council, campus governing body. Serving as executive editor will be David F. Allen of La Grange, Ill. Irving A. Portner of Chicago and Stephen H. Rogers of Port Washington, N. Y., have been appointed edi- torial co-chairmen. The new managing editor will be Morton L. Meyer of St. Louis, with James C. Davis of Potts- town, Pa., as associate manag- ing editor.
