  • The Atlantic in winter precluded sending the frail schooner north for adjudication
  • She was put into Union Navy service at Port Royal serving the South Atlantic Blockading Squadron as a tender
  • Purchased by the Navy from the New York prize court, 1 August 1863
  • After the war ended, Sarah and Caroline was sold at Port Royal, 8 August 1865
