USS Fearnot was assigned to the Gulf Blockading Squadron, 17 September 1861, at Key West as coal and supply ship
After the fall of, New Orleans Fearnot provided coal and supplies at Ship Island
From October 1865 to May 1866, Fearnot carried surplus ordnance to Pensacola, and guarded the large amounts of ammunition accumulating there
Decommissioned, 18 July 1866, at Boston
Sold 3 October 1866
