This activity is intended for primary care physicians, psychiatrists, nurses/nurse practitioners, pharmacists, and other clinicians who care for adults at risk for ADHD.

The goal of this activity is for learners to be better able to evaluate the epidemiology and management of ADHD in the United States.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

• Describe the prevalence of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in a large survey of US adults
• Identify variables associated with a higher prevalence of ADHD
• Identify the proportion of adults who were diagnosed with ADHD during adulthood
• Recognize treatment characteristics for adults with ADHD
