Extension:UILangCode - MediaWiki

Toggle the table of contents Extension:UILangCode This extension is obsolete!
It has been replaced by core functionality in the MediaWiki software (which was added in version 1.43).

The UILangCode extension implements the {{UILANGCODE}} magic word to get the interface language of the current user.

Download and move the extracted UILangCode folder to your extensions/ directory.
Developers and code contributors should install the extension from Git instead, using:
```
cd extensions/
git clone https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/mediawiki/extensions/UILangCode
```
Add the following code at the bottom of your LocalSettings.php file:
```
wfLoadExtension( 'UILangCode' );
```
Done – Navigate to Special:Version on your wiki to verify that the extension is successfully installed.

This will make the parser cache vary per user language, greatly decreasing hit rate and increasing storage.
