What steps will reproduce the problem?
from html5lib import HTMLParser
from html5lib.filters.validator import HTMLConformanceChecker
p = HTMLParser(tokenizer=HTMLConformanceChecker)
p.parse('<input type="text" class="someClass">')
p.errors
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected output is:
[((1, 37), 'expected-doctype-but-got-start-tag', {'name': u'input'})]
Current output is:
[((1, 37),
'unknown-attribute',
{'attributeName': u'type', 'tagName': 'input'}),
((1, 37),
'unknown-attribute',
{'attributeName': u'class', 'tagName': 'input'}),
((1, 37), 'expected-doctype-but-got-start-tag', {'name': u'input'})]
Neither of the unknown-attribute errors are valid.
Please provide any additional information below.
I tried to make a patch for this, but ended up breaking several tests
that say "'template' attribute
not allowed on <input type=...", since 'template' is listed in
globalAttributes. I can't figure out
where in the spec these restrictions are coming from, but that doesn't
mean it's not in there
somewhere.
