Seems all OK now.

I fixed the chardet tests, and made the Ruby version search either
in  /trunk/testdata or /trunk/ruby/testdata for the test files. That
way, packaging a "standalone" distribution is as simple as copying the
testdata directory into the ruby directory.

That seems like a good compromise, no?
