How to Make Your Razor Last Longer

Chances are, right now, there is hair growing out of your face. Go ahead. Feel it. It's there, and both you and I know that it sure as hell isn't going to stop until you're six feet under (or cremated) (that expression never factors in cremation, does it?).

Now, unless you're one of the not-so-silent minority of American men that have a beard, you probably own a razor and use it pretty frequently, am I right? And … I'm willing to bet that you spend a good $10 or so on razor blades each month, right? Well, friendo, stop. You've been doing it wrong.

The reason razor blades get dull in the first place isn't because your face is made of rock—it's because it gets clogged up with gunk. Your whiskers, shaving cream, whatever other little things can weasel their way in there. You name it, chances are it's ruining your shave (definitely). And your bank account (sorta).

This thing is called a Razorpit, and it's a dead simple but extremely neat little gadget. It's a little pad that looks rather like a white iPhone that uses the same simple technology barbers have been using for decades to keep their razors clean and sharp. Simply place a small amount of soap or shaving cream on the pad and press firmly in the opposite direction that you shave (so, up, basically). Do this five or six times and then presto, you have a very clean razor blade that will last you up to three months. That's a lot longer than the week or two at best that you'll get out of your current, unclean, dirty blades.

Honestly, this little thing is a lifesaver, and for $35 you can't go wrong. Face saver, really, but you get the picture.
