Facebook is not playing around when it comes to games, announcing the development of a new PC gaming platform and a partnership with Unity Technologies.
Unity–a development platform for 2-D, 3-D, virtual reality and augmented reality games—will integrate support for Facebook’s current gaming platform, as well as the new one it is developing.
Facebook and Unity are also collaborating on new functionality for Unity that enables developers to quickly export and publish games to Facebook.
The two companies also announced limited access to a closed alpha build of the new export to Facebook functionality in version 5.4
