The basefont element (<basefont>) allows specifying a default color and font-size for text on the entire page.
The basefont element was deprecated in HTML4 and should no longer be used.
To specify the overall font for your page add the basefont element at the beginning of the body section. The basefont element is only supported by Internet Explorer.
