Removes a range from a selection.

var result = selObj.removeRange();

Range

Range to remove.

Returns an object of type NumberNumber

Type: HRESULT

If this method succeeds, it returns S_OK. Otherwise, it returns an HRESULT error code.

selObj = window.getSelection();
if(selObj.rangeCount > 1) {
 for(var i = 1; i < selObj.rangeCount; i++) {
  selObj.removeRange(selObj.getRangeAt(i));
 }
}

Windows Internet Explorer 9-11 does not currently support multiple or disjointed selections in standards mode.
