Unity Version Control was added to the Unreal Engine Marketplace, under the Code Plugin category. This allows projects developed using the Unreal Engine to benefit from the same powerful versioning and collaboration tools available in Unity Version Control.
It is compatible with versions 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 5.5 of the Unreal Engine and also comes with our new Smart Locks support.
Since 2023-12-22, it also received an update with the Branching support, available in version 1.9.0. This allows you to create branches, switch between branches and merge branches, straight from within the Unreal Editor.
And on December 9th, 2024, we added support for UE 5.5, as well as a few fixes and a new repository creation wizard.
From the Fab.com page, you can easily add Unity Version Control to your account and enable it in your Unreal Editor window. Of course, you still have the option to use the alternate CLI or GUI options.
