How to disable or change the Thunderbird start page
Every time you start Thunderbird, the message area will load your Mail Start Page. You can change the mail start page to any webpage, or set it to a blank page.
Change the start page
- In the menu bar, click the menu and select .Click the menu button and choose .
- Select the panel on the left.
- In the Location field, enter the address of your desired start page.
Set it to a blank page
- In the menu bar, click the menu and select .Click the menu button and choose .
- Select the panel on the left.
- Uncheck When Thunderbird launches, show the Start Page in the message area.
Restore the default start page
The default start page will welcome you to Thunderbird, provide information about Thunderbird, and provide links for how to get involved, where to donate, and where to get help.
- In the menu bar, click the menu and select .Click the menu button and choose .
- Select the panel on the left.
- Make sure When Thunderbird launches, show the start page in the message area is checked.
- Click the Restore Default button.
