Firefox installer crashes on Windows XP

If your latest version of Firefox is crashing when you are trying to install it on Windows XP, this might be caused by your Windows Firewall being turned off. This is how to quickly fix it:

  1. Enable Windows Firewall by clicking , click Run, type Firewall.cpl, and then click OK.
  2. On the tab, click
  3. Click OK.
  4. Install Firefox by running the Firefox installer.
