Firefox Hello lets you have free video and voice calls and text messaging directly in the browser. All you need are a webcam (optional), a microphone, and the latest version of Firefox to call friends who are on WebRTC-supported browsers like Firefox, Chrome, or Opera.

Join a conversation

Received an invitation? Joining a conversation is easy! Just click on the link on the invitation and click the button on the page to enter the conversation.

The newest version of Hello lets you browse and discuss web pages with a friend.

Control your notifications

If you're not ready to receive a call, click on the status menu at the bottom of the window and set it to to stop all call notifications.

Start a conversation
  1. Click the Hello button .
    Tip: Move the Hello button to your toolbar. For more information, see Where is the Firefox Hello button?.
  2. Click Browse this page with a friend.
  3. Use the following options to invite your friends:
  4. When your friend joins the conversation, you will see an alert.
  5. To end the call, click .
