RCS chats with businesses

With Rich Communication Services (RCS), you can get interactive messages with photos and videos from registered businesses. For example, an airline can send you a message with your boarding pass.

Turn on RCS to chat with registered businesses

To have an interactive conversation with a business, you need to turn on RCS chats.

If your phone and carrier can use RCS, the option shows in your advanced settings.

Tip: Availability varies, and carrier charges may apply. Contact your carrier for details.

  1. Open Google Messages .
  2. Open the conversation with the business you want to unsubscribe from.
  3. In the conversation menu, tap Unsubscribe.
  4. Select why you want to unsubscribe from that sender.
  5. To unsubscribe from that sender, tap Unsubscribe or Unsubscribe & report.

  1. Open Google Messages .
  2. Open the conversation with the business you want to subscribe to again.
  3. In the conversation menu, tap Subscribe.

If you no longer want to receive messages from a business, you can block and report.

  1. Open Google Messages .
  2. Open the conversation with the business you want to block.
  3. Below the conversation, tap Block & report.
  4. Alternatively, tap More Block & report spam.
