Share your form with collaborators

Share your form with collaborators

You can work with others on a form by sharing it with collaborators. If you only want people to fill out your form instead, learn how to send a form to responders.

Share editor access to a form
  1. Open a form in Google Forms.
  2. To share editor access or collaborate on a form, click Share .
  3. Optional: Under “General access,” you can give access to anyone with a link or to target audiences.
  4. Enter the names of the people or groups.
  5. Click Down arrow  Editor.
  6. If the form is published, an email notification will be shared when you send the form.
  7. Click Send.

Important: Once you’ve shared a form with a collaborator, they'll have access to any linked spreadsheet of responses. If you want to remove their access, you need to remove them from the form and the linked sheet separately.

Transfer ownership of your form

Before you transfer ownership of your form to someone, you need to give them editor access.

To transfer ownership to an existing editor:

  1. On a form, click Share .
  2. Under “People with access,” next to the person’s name, click Down arrow .
  3. Select Transfer ownership Yes.
