You can change the sound of your Google Assistant’s voice. When you change the voice, it applies to all of your Assistant devices.
Google Assistant on phone or tabletImportant: Some features aren't available in all languages, countries, or eligible Android devices.
Important: If your Google Assistant reads text messages in the wrong language, remove English as a secondary language. Then change your Google Assistant’s voice language to match your Google Assistant’s language.
Google Assistant on speaker or Smart DisplayImportant: Some features aren't available in all languages, countries, or eligible Android devices.
When you turn off Speech Output, your Google Assistant will show you responses on your phone, but it won't say them out loud. If you want to stop your Google Assistant from replying with sound, you can change your settings.
Important: Kid-friendly Assistant voices are only available on Google Accounts for children. This feature isn’t available in all languages, countries, or devices.
To choose a kid-friendly voice for Google Assistant, you'll need an Assistant-enabled device set up with a child’s Google Account. On shared devices, you'll also need to set up Voice Match for your child.
To change the Assistant voice for your child’s account:
Tip: You can also choose a kid-friendly voice for your Assistant on enabled speakers. You or your child can say, “Hey Google, change your voice,” and follow the prompts.
