Qualifications for Google Workspace for Education

Google Workspace for Education is a suite of Google tools and services that are tailored for schools. It is available globally for educational institutions that qualify. Google reserves the right to determine an organization's eligibility for Google Workspace for Education.

K–12 schools and higher-education institutions globally are eligible for Google Workspace for Education if they meet certain criteria, including:

• K–12 and higher institutions must be government-recognized, accredited schools delivering instruction to students.
• Institutions must have an active website related to their educational institution.
• The person submitting the application must be part of the organization requesting Google Workspace for Education approval.

Examples of fictional schools and organizations that are eligible include: Park Elementary School, Park Middle School, Park High School, Park School District, Park Community College, and Park University.

Note: When a customer is approved for a Google Workspace for Education domain, they are approved for a single tenant. This tenant can be used at the level the admin chooses, but should only govern a single group. No user should be part of multiple tenants.

Organizations that are not schools do not qualify for Google Workspace for Education even if they provide services to students. Instead, those organizations can explore other Google Workspace editions. For more information, visit Choose your Google Workspace edition.

• Community centers offering educational programs
• Corporate funded training centers
• Correctional facilities
• Employee education programs
• Enterprise or non profit organizations offering mentoring or coaching

• Massive open online courses (MOOCs)
• Military academies
• Museums
• Public libraries
• Research laboratories or institutions
• Tutoring programs
