BookOps is a pioneering collaboration between The New York Public Library and Brooklyn Public Library that makes it possible for essential materials and resources to be available and delivered quickly and efficiently to millions of users across New York City. Based in Long Island City, Queens, and comprised of nearly 200 staff members, the BookOps team serves as the center of collections development and distribution for both library systems--from initial item selection to continuous circulation throughout the neighborhood branches.
BookOps is jointly governed and funded by NYPL and BPL and carries the responsibility of meeting the strategic collection management and distribution needs of each organization.
