AbstractWe conducted focus groups and individual interviews to explore parental views on the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine. Parents were generally positive about the HPV vaccine. Some participants perceived their children were not at risk for acquiring HPV and questioned vaccinating young adolescents against HPV. Vaccine education should target parental beliefs about HPV and the optimal age for HPV vaccine administration.
