Perception can create a rift where none exists. I loved M.Hammond's book, and really appreciate an idiot proof install for Windows that Activestate produces. Especially with the Python Foundation allowing consensus, lets not us foster dissent. Everything worth doing by groups is always a compromise. In this case not so much between organizations but between language Guru's, under Guido's benevolent Dictatorship. I'd love it if Python had more companies like Activestate. More value, more solutions. For Windows especially they are the Big Toe on the Python Foot. (Hows that for a metaphore about a snake :) ) Python will walk regardless, but its nice to have toes. Grin. Thanks Activestate
