Hello, If you're prepared to use Jython then you could use the javax.comm package supplied from Sun. This is a very good package which works on Unix, Linux, Mac, PCs and a lightbulb (well not yet but give sun time!). They state that the parallel port support is weak but I've never tested it (due to not needing to do that).
