Yes, that's the published plan:
    https://www.python.org/dev/peps/pep-0494/

    3.6.8 schedule (2018-12)
    Final maintenance mode release, final binary releases.


    3.6.9 and beyond schedule
    Security fixes only, as needed, until 2021-12
