Emphatically no.  Anyone suggesting big breaking changes in 4.0 is
exercising wishful thinking :)

There may be some cleanup in 4.0, but only removing things that have
been deprecated for a long time in 3.x but hadn't been removed to
maintain compatibility with 2.7.
