"os" and "os.path" is just a completely different level of abstraction. There is just no need to mess with them. The initial failure of my colleague and me of using pathlib can be solely attributed to pathlib's lack of functionality. Not to the incompatibility of "os" nor "os.path" with "Path" objects.
