the devil, as they say, is in the details :). I'd be interested to
know what form this merger would take.  WRT v4/v6 manipulation, it
seems that ipaddr and netaddr do very similar things, though with
different strategies. I've never worked on integrating code into a
project like this before, so i'm not sure what a merger like this
would end up looking like.  having said that, I am fine with this in
principal.
