Which can be eliminated by having property.setter, especially in the form:

     @property
     def foo(self):
         ...

     @foo.setter
     def foo(self, value):
         ...

     @foo.deleter
     def foo(self):
         ...

This even preserves Guido's "read-only + read-write" use case, and 
saves us a builtin.
