How is that a waste of time? You've got the latest stable 2.4 installed I presume. Do the svn-up/make dance (at least on Unix-y systems - can it be much more difficult on Windows?). If it breaks something, either figure out why or drop back to 2.4 for a week or two and try again. If application breakage remains, investigate. Skip
