My (so far relatively trivial) prototype implementation uses 7, but
they are a fairly mixed bunch. In many cases, only one of a "group" is
needed (GetStdHandle but not SetStdHandle, and WaitForSingleObject,
but none of the other WaitForXXX functions).

I'm not sure what to conclude from this...
