OK; I just care about platforms where the alternative constant is
necessary.  It sounds to me like win32 is therefore the only relevant
sys.platform string to check for.  Thanks!

(Hm... should it check for "cygwin", too?  If any Cygwin maintainers
have suggestions, please let me know.)
