I think the original motivation for the lib-tk subdirectory was the ability to add or remove it from sys.path, through Modules/Setup. These days, nobody edits Modules/Setup anymore, so I'd question its usefulness (it should be preserved for compatibility, of course). OTOH, I don't feel strongly about this, and would trust the decision in Kurt's hands. Regards, Martin
