It doesn't segfault for me (MSVC6 + Win98SE), although it takes a long time to complete and thrashes to disk horribly. But distinctions like that are lost forever unless they're attached to a bug report. BTW, if you need to do things "like this" frequently, buy a 64-bit box, a terabyte of RAM, and get a real operating system <wink>.
