'twould be much appreciated.

I wonder if the Powers That Be might consider reviving the
compiler sig.  There's a lot of detailed discussion to have,
and I'm not sure python-dev is the right place.

I could post a short summary of action items for 2.3
development on this list, but I'd rather see detailed
discussion elsewhere.
