I expect that I'll have more time for the Python 2.3 release the rest of this year, so I will do my darndest to do an alpha release before the year is over. I've partially updated PEP 283 (the release schedule), though there are still a lot of things to be done that aren't there. I'll get to these on Thursday. I've read PEP 302, and while there are some things left to discuss, I would really like to see Just's code checked in for the alpha release, so that it gets widespread testing.
