The nice thing is if we can localize things to pkgutil.py, we wouldn't /have/ to release Python 2.2.3 to get backported support. Just release pkgutil.py as its own distutils package which Zope3 could "setup.py install" first thing. It lands in site-packages for older Python's to use, but when it gets released with Python 2.3, it'll be ignored in favor of the standard library version. -Barry
