If no, it appears something is wrong with your getaddrinfo implementation (as called in socketmodule.c:2562). What system are you using? If you have the time to investigate, I'd be curious to find out why getaddrinfo doesn't give an error. If you don't have the time, just commit the patch. Regards, Martin
