No, it's not doing that. It's adding the symbol name to the symtab, with DEF_DOUBLESTAR as one of its flags. Not sure what the flag does, but I could guess. (But see the above mentioned delusions as to why I'm not doing that out loud anymore :-) The 'if' in front of it adds the symbol to the symtab with DEF_STAR as a flag, in the case of 'STAR' (rather than DOUBLESTAR).
