really?  who else thinks that this little feature "shows that the rules
are fixed" and "my time is too precious to work on bug fixes" and "we're
here to vote, not to work" and "since my veto doesn't count, there are
organizational bugs". 

can we have a new mailing list, please?  one that's only dealing with
cool code, bug fixes, release administratrivia, etc.  practical stuff, not
ego problems.
