I am not a Mac user but I saw your posting and my wife has a Mac so I
decided to give it a try.

When I ran the installer, a lot of the text referred to "Python 1.6"
despite this being a 2.0 installer.

As the install completed I got a message:

The application "Configure Python" could not be opened because
"OTInetClientLib -- OTInetGetSecondaryAddresses" could not be found

After that, if I try to bring up PythonIDE or PythonInterpreter by
clicking on the 16-ton icons, I get the same message about
OTInetGetSecondaryAddresses. So I'm not able to run Python at all
right now on this Mac.
