Can someone explain why dir(foo) does not return all of foo's methods? I know it's documented that way, I just don't know why it *is* that way. I'm also not clear why instances don't have auto-populated __methods__ and __members__ members? If there isn't a good reason (there probably is) then I would advocate that these functions and members should be more comprehensive. -- Paul Prescod - ISOGEN Consulting Engineer speaking for himself "I and my companions suffer from a disease of the heart that can only be cured with gold", Hernan Cortes
