test_re has been failing (and not just failing, but failing incorrectly
<grin>) for some time now (test test_re failed -- Writing: '=== Failed
incorrectly', expected: "('abc', 'abc', 0, 'fou"). What's the future for
re - is it planned to remove it from 2.0?
