I was wondering what the license terms are for the current
CVS snapshot...

There's a lot of code in there which carries
its own license or copyright, e.g. the Unicode stuff still
only has the note "(c) Copyright CNRI, All Rights Reserved.
NO WARRANTY." and the SRE modules are "Copyright (c) 1997-2000 by
Secret Labs AB. All rights reserved.".

As it stands, I guess the current CVS tree is not legally
copyable or usable by anyone who wants decent Unicode support.
