I realize it's late in the day, but could the name of the concept (not the
function) be changed from "parallel iteration" to something that doesn't
imply concurrent execution quite so strongly?  I think the use of
"parallel" is very likely to mislead, particularly scientists and
engineers who actually have parallel loops in their jumped-up Fortran and
C++ systems.
