Skip,
one bug in posixpath.commonprefix already: you use os.sep where you
should use '/'. The pathname-manging routines in xxxpath have always
worked on different platforms too (so you can interpret, say, a
tarfile on MSDOS), and if I remember correctly this is especially
important for posixpath because it's used in some of the url modules.
